about AMI Music Programs

Great Music Lessons don't come any easier than this!

Do you teach adults?

Yes. Our oldest student to date is 84 years young!

Is the instructor qualified?

Along with their own musical training and experience, all AMI Instructors receive special training to help them deliver quality instruction. Areas of teacher training include: child development, multiple learning styles, classroom management techniques, and human physiology.

Can I attend my child’s lessons?

Yes. In fact, our programs for younger students may require parental attendance with their students. Adolescent students however may prefer their parents not regularly attend lessons.

Can my two children have a lesson together?

Possibly. We try to place students who are in the same age range and skill level together in our group lessons. Older students, however, do tend to progress faster, so if the skill gap becomes too wide, one ore both siblings may need to be placed in a different class.

Can I just take one month of lessons?

If you are enrolling in private lessons, yes. However, in one month you really do not have enough time to give your lessons a fair chance. Therefore, we recommend taking lessons for at least two months. If you wish to take for only one month, we ask that you let us know at the time of registration. For our ongoing group programs to be effective and stable, we need students to commit to at least to months of lessons. Ensemble and special programs are typically for a fixed period and students must enroll for the duration of those programs.
